1. Multiple Engine Options

Few pickups can offer six powerful engine options like this one does, with its base engine being a 325-horsepower 2.7-liter V6, enough to cater to most needs. On the extreme end, there’s also a 720-horsepower 5.2-liter V8, which is offered exclusively for the off-road-ready Raptor trim. Two other highlights are the fuel-efficient 3.5-liter hybrid V6 that generates 430 horsepower while getting exceptional mileage and a 400-horsepower 3.5-liter V6 that offers the strongest towing capacity in the lineup, 13,500 pounds.

2. SYNC 4 Infotainment

This pickup’s infotainment system, SYNC 4,  has Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, allowing you to use its Bluetooth connection to stream audio from smartphones. This system also has a hands-free calling function that’s voice-activated, turn-by-turn navigation support, a 12-inch full-color touchscreen, and over-the-air (OTA) updates. You also have access to hundreds of satellite radio channels and podcasts with the available SiriusXM with 360L feature.

3. Upscale Seating Options

When climbing into the cabin, the comfortable and convenient seating amenities are sure to impress, like the standard rear 60/40 bench seat and available under-seat storage area offered for two-row SuperCab and SuperCrew models. Heated and ventilated front seats, as well as heated rear seats, are available for select trims, and whether you go with easy-to-clean ActiveX material or plush quilted leather, a variety of seating materials are available to choose from, depending on the trim.

4. The Pro Access Tailgate

While a locking tailgate comes standard with the base trim, others are available, including the innovative Pro Access Tailgate. This tailgate differs from conventional ones by providing a center swing-out panel that allows you to access the bed more easily, especially in tight spaces or when the truck is connected to a trailer. You can swing this panel out by 37, 70, or 100 degrees, depending on your needs, and the tailgate itself doubles as a work surface when lowered.

5. Hands-Free BlueCruise

As one of the first companies to pioneer semi-automated driving, Ford did so with its convenient BlueCruise hands-free driving system, which is available for this edition. With this feature, the truck can take over steering, accelerating, lane-centering, and braking whenever you’re on any of the thousands of compatible highway zones where this system works, which are known as “Blue Zones.” You can find these Blue Zones by checking the FordPass app, which can also provide traffic updates.
